hi all.
in response to daphne's email on the ofw rep to owwa: "....On another matter, do we have to wait until the expiration of the term of Jojo Sapio before we can have a new land based representative at OWWA? He should have been doing something on this matter...."
i pasted below rule XVII of RA10022 IRR on the selection of OFW representatives to the POEA Governing Board, OWWA Board of Trustees and other Boards (Philhealth, Pag ibig). let us go over the provisions carefully --noting the manner of selection and nomination and the qualification of the ofw reps..
...
the law ra10022 with its IRR is already effective, hence this provision should be seriously and carefully considered by all of us to ensure that we select properly in a transparent and democratic manner our ofw representatives, people with integrity, with the ofw interest at heart, in these government agencies.
it would perhaps be a good to start identifying names as possible nominees for these positions.
let's do it! if we don't, others will do it!
thanks daphne for bringing this up.
salamat.
